Il supplie d'tre rappel que la mort 'est le juste chtiment'. Clindor voit la mort comme la seule dcision, comme la seule sortie de cette situation. Il ne veut pas se plaindre, il prfre mourir au nom de sa passion, de son bonheur. La flamme est injuste, l'espoir est coupable, l'amour est criminel. On peut supposer que le hros ne peut pas survivre dans un monde o le bonheur de son me est interdit. C'est la raison de sa mort accepte. Il croit qu'il va trouver la paix, qu'il va retrouver le bonheur. Ici Clindor accepte la fin de sa vie, attend sa mort. Isabelle, je meurs pour vous avoir servie ; Isabelle, voici le nom de son amour, voici le nom de ses malheurs.
